Sessions can be booked for one hour or longer, depending on how much you would like to cover. We can discuss almost any area relating to audio production, mixing, mastering, studio setup, equipment, workflow, business development or the wider audio industry. The consultation can take place by video or phone call, giving you direct access to my 20+ years of industry experience in a flexible and interactive format. The aim is to give you clear, useful guidance that is relevant to your situation, helping you make better decisions, solve problems and move forward with greater confidence.

During a one-to-one online consultation, we can cover a wide range of topics depending on what you need help with. The session is completely tailored to you, so there is no fixed agenda. How Do I Book A Session And What Are The Available Time Slots?

To book a session, simply select the consultation service and choose the session length that best suits your needs. Once your order has been placed, I’ll get in touch with you directly to discuss your requirements and arrange a suitable date and time. I’m based in the UK, so if you’re booking from overseas, I’ll take the time difference into account when arranging the session. Consultations can usually be scheduled during the day or evening, and I’ll do my best to find a time that works well for both of us. Everything will be confirmed with you after booking, so you’ll know exactly when the session will take place and how we’ll connect.
What Should I Prepare Before My Consultation?

Before your consultation, it’s a good idea to make a clear list of the main topics, questions or challenges you would like to cover. If there are any relevant project files, session notes, screenshots, documents or examples that would help provide context, have these ready before the session begins. I also recommend thinking about what you would ideally like to achieve from the consultation. The clearer your goals are, the easier it is for me to focus the session on the areas that will provide you with the most value. Good preparation allows us to use the available time efficiently and ensures the consultation is focused, productive and tailored specifically to your needs.
Can The Session Be Rescheduled If Something Comes Up?

Yes, the session can be rescheduled if something unexpected comes up. I understand that plans can change, so just get in touch with me as soon as possible and we can arrange a new date or time. For online consultations, I primarily use Zoom for video calls. If you prefer, we can also use WhatsApp for either video or voice calls. I’m happy to use whichever option is most convenient for you. Is There Any Follow-Up Support After The Session Is Completed?

Yes, follow-up support is available after your consultation, but it is charged separately. Depending on what you need, you may not necessarily require another live session. For example, if you would like me to contact suppliers, research equipment, design a studio layout, review options, or carry out other consultancy work independently, I can handle this on your behalf. Any additional work will be quoted and charged based on the time and level of involvement required. This gives you the flexibility to continue receiving support after the consultation without needing to be present for every stage, while allowing me to dedicate the appropriate time to completing the work properly.
What If I Need More Than One Session To Cover All My Questions?

If you need more than one session to cover everything, you can simply book additional time as required. If, during the consultation, you decide you would like to continue for longer, I can check my availability and either extend the session where possible or arrange a follow-up consultation for another date. This flexibility means there is no need to rush through important questions or decisions, and we can work through everything at a pace that gives you the most value from the consultation.
How Is The Consultation Different From Other Services You Offer?

The aim is to give you direct access to a broad range of my experience in one session, making it ideal if you have several different areas you would like to work through rather than focusing on just one specific service.
Are There Any Prerequisites Or Skill Levels Required For Booking A Session?

No, there are no prerequisites or required skill levels for booking a session. Whether you’re completely new to the industry or already an experienced professional, I’ll tailor the consultation to your level, goals and specific requirements. I’ve worked with people at many different stages of their careers, so I make a point of explaining things clearly and practically without relying on unnecessary jargon. The aim is to make sure you fully understand the advice being given and leave the session with useful, actionable guidance, regardless of your current level of experience.
What Is The Cancellation Policy For A Booked Consultation Session?

If no preparatory work has been carried out before your session and you need to cancel, there is no cancellation fee. However, if I have already completed work specifically in preparation for your consultation, such as studio layout planning, cable management design, equipment research or other bespoke preparation, the cost of the session may be non-refundable. Where possible, I’m always happy to reschedule the consultation instead. We can arrange an alternative date that works for both of us, ensuring you still receive the full value of any preparation and consultancy work already completed.
